This project began with a bare rural block and a bold long-term vision. Our client’s goal was twofold: to create a studio to live in while planning their main residence, and to eventually establish the property as a dream wedding destination. We worked closely with them from the very beginning, setting out heights and plotting the exact footprint where the garage and studio would sit to maximise the site's natural potential.
Building on a remote, uninhabited site brought unique logistical hurdles. Security was a top priority throughout the build, requiring constant oversight as no one was living on or near the property. During the foundation stage, we also had to navigate a complete lack of running water, which demanded creative solutions for the pouring process. Furthermore, the terrain itself was a challenge—clearing a steep embankment for a future glamping site required complex stabilisation and the trenching of 3-phase power and water over 300 metres down a difficult incline.
